Bangkok Day #3 beauty of ruin

November 28, 2009 · Leave a Comment

we woke up at 5am. wanted to hop on a local train to ayutthaya. ayutthaya is thailand capital city before bangkok. on big scale it is surrounded by water. That place is ruined because of war in ancient time.

wat chaimongkol

bricks made temple

above are the temples the locals go

this is the best ruin ever. you should really go and see yourself.

ruined buddha image

amazingly ruined

I love exploring

posing only ((=

I must tell you story about this. the taxi driver just brought us to one hidden restaurant, looks like a scam to me tho. so be careful, don ask them intro.

anyway this boat is belongs to the restaurant boss. this river is chao phraya river (=

white temple

after analyzing the location and structure of this place,I presume it’s a ancient bunker.

this is just cool

this is super awesome.

weekend market

this is one place you cannot miss in bangkok. the things here are damn cheap and I assure you won’t go back empty handed. It’s called chatuchak weekend market. could be accessed through MRT and sky train.

Bangkok Day #2 adventure starts

November 22, 2009 · 2 Comments

after efficient rest thx to the alcohol effect, today we did alot of walking.

one thing you cannot miss out in bangkok is shopping, yeah man they have all the brands you never heard before.

their "sg.wang"

this is the first shopping centre we went. had our breakfast there so delicious, just too sweet my food.

there’re alot shopping centres linked up with sky bridge. all u have to do is just cross the bridge while you can enjoy the busy traffic of bangkok.

with dino egg

there’s a dino exhibition over there. this egg is cool haha.

then anyway, it’s time to go to chao phraya. I’m sure you learnt about this river in geography. sky train will bring you to the jetty.

at sky train station

it takes some time to the place. there’s a jetty underneath the sky train there. get down and you can get access to boats with alot of package watever.

long tail boat

alot of companies provide the boat service so choose carefully. we went to wat arun from there 500baht one boat, can fit 10 pax but we only had 4. the scenery along the river is cool. I’ve never seen a place so developed along a river like dis.

chao phraya behind

so this is wat arun, consumed some extra breathes to get up here. this is a temple made from bricks, decorated with chinese stoneware. name temple of dawn, I’m not sure why.

after that you should take a ferry across the river, only 3 baht per pax. you’ll find grand palace and some temples over there too. we were not lucky coz grand palace closed at 3pm.

as alternative we went to this park infront of it. more like a pigeons nest to me.

hell lots of pigeons

nothing much to do there, unless u love feeding the birdie.

next, off to kaoshan rd, the world well-known backpackers’ heaven.

this is the cutest McD ever

on this street you could see 99% of westerners. it made me feel like I was in europe wth. food here is nice, can do some shopping also if wan.

dinner time we went to chinatown. there has even more foods.

here you can hear chinese haha

chinatown is big man. food stalls scattered all over.

BBQ pork for 20baht

seafood

dats right, the whole idea is EAT. we didn have enough space for seafood anymore.

what’s a perfect after dinner ? we’re in bangkok man. so here we are, to the baiyoke sky hotel, thailand tallest building.

from baiyoke sky hotel

the lift boy is not so friendly tho. you gotta be either hotel guests to get up here or you can buy ticket.

outdoor revolving deck

this is so cool, standing at the highest point of thailand, feel the wind and be amazed by the view.

Bangkok day #1 the arrival

November 21, 2009 · Leave a Comment

hi peepx, I’m so sorry I’ve been busy like always that I have no time to blog aout my expedition to the land of tranny. yea this sounds right XD

since there’re alot of you who throwing me questions, I’ll answer them here. where I went and where you should go(for those who going soon)

first of all, I want to vomit my appreciation to the leading low cost airline, Air Asia. thanks for the promo so I could fly with your cheap rates (not so lucky last few weeks couldn’t get a ticket from your promo).

air asia with the gloomy wheather

it takes around 2 hours to reach bangkok. due different time zone, malaysia is 1 hour ahead so it only takes one hour to bangkok(relative to bangkok’s time)

it was the first time I been to LCCT,  that airport sucks big time, as compared to everywhere. why malaysia just so useless?

with kang wai and benny

that’s the arrival on bangkok airport. it’s easy to get access to your hotel anywhere. there’ll have a taxi counter outside the main entrance where you just tell the person where you wanna go. no worries of getting conned, their taxi price is very reasonable.

After get set to our hotel, Ecotel bangkok, we headed to Sukumvit Rd. here you can find 2 red light districts. Soi Cowboy and Nana. can be accessed by sky train. consult the ky train workers they will tell you which station to go.

with kenny and benny

There’s one pork mee stall outside of soi cowboy that I think you must try. that was our first meal in bangkok.

delicious food

one thing rare there is malaysians. we never met any in the 6 days we were there. you’ll somehow feel like you’re in europe more than in asia. if you have no idea what red light district is, this is it.

soi cowboy (soi means lorong)

basically it looks like this la the whole street, and the girls will stand along side and do the seducing stuffs all. so don’t get freaked out.

a very scary snacks that you might wanna try, deep fried insects and frogs watever. you can get one big bag for Rm 1 / 10 baht.

the frog is crazy

it tastes like no taste, crispy, a thin layer of local spices will get you high. but I still can’t eat it, the frog head is not removed, so it’s the problem of mentality.

I dono what happened, my travel mates love them so much. me not so.

kenny benny kangwai with their fav

after taking alcohol, we went back and had supper. something you’ll never imagine. PINK mee soup.

pink soup with fishball

this is indeed a very special food. tastes too much of sour to me. the 7-11 there sell cheap drinking water. that’s a very good thing for travelers. on the other place, you might need to spend big on water.

如果时间定格,你会做什么?

November 20, 2009 · Leave a Comment

时间定格,就是停留不动,不会往后退,也不会往前走。 这样的话,我想不到有什么可以做。

也许,我不想回来了。虽然知道时间不会定格,可以做这种白日梦也不错。
